Does this patch resolve the problems with the print spooler so we can re-enable the service? Disabling the service also disabled wireless printing to my printer...
Post-post addendum: In addition to not being able to print due to disabling the service, for the first time this morning after having powered down yesterday and powered up this morning, I got the error (on login):
The Group Policy Client service failed the sign-in.
The universal unique identifier (UUID) type is not supported.
This is NOT a new install of a virgin system but a plain old boot of an ancient 8.1 system. I believe this error and the disabling of the spooler are related. I applied a recommended "fix" to the registry from one of the search hits about this error and it has not reappeared across reboots.
