Why am I getting Updates that were last updated on 4/6/2018?

1. I'm also considering turning Off Updates for Office 2007 all together so that MS won't bugger it all up now that it is not supported. Any advice on doing that please?

To top it all off, the Hashes don't match! Well, I see now that these two packages are different. The one from the Catalog is different than the one from the one at the Download Page?
The one I get from the Download Page is of course: "word2007-kb4018355-fullfile-x86-glb Application"
The one I get from the catalog is: "none_a530f12126b973fecaae541316adb2ec9ab14414 Cabinet File."

2. Will someone tell me why the Download Page and the Catalog are different?

I'm a little sad that the 8 Forums are a kinda slow, as Windows 8 is so super!
Thanks, Stealth

One possible explanation:
Sometimes Microsoft will issue a particular update, and then the next month will issue it again. Apparently they found some issue with the first version of it, so they updated it and reissued it.

Another possible explanation:
A cabinet file is not the same as an application. A cabinet file could be thought of as a "Win Zip" file; and an application could be thought of as one of the files that is zipped up inside of the Win Zip file. That's why they call it a "cabinet" file - it is a cabinet which contains actual files. This would explain the different hashes.

You know it is a Cabinet file if it has the file extension .CAB.
