Solved is it safe to delete windows.old folder

is it safe to delete windows.old folder

This folder is occupying 4GB of my hard disk

i reinstalled windows 8 using HP Recovery Manager a while back

i dont remember the exact date or month when i reinstalled windows

You can't just delete it as it's system controled. You have to use disk cleanup run it and when it's finished first scan then select system files it will re scan and find the folder then it will remove it
