If you install it as dual boot, I recommend you image the 100MB active partition (if present) BEFORE you install /8. Then, if you ever want to get rid of /8, just restore that image and the /8 partition becomes a plain data partition which you can reformat, delete or whatever, Your original bootmgr will be back with the restore of the 100MB partition and win7 seven will boot as before.
If you happen to have 2 or more HDDs in your system, unplug all HDDs except the one where you want to install /8 (this must have no OS on it). Then install /8 on the connected HDD and switch the Operating System with the BIOS boot sequence.
