Internet Exployer ie11 on windows 8

I have been always a Microsoft person. But I have tried any and all fixes to try and get internet explorer to stop coming up with internet explorer has stopped working will search for a problem.

I as of today have disabled it and are using another browser that does not have this bug in it. I am having no trouble with the browser I am using, and it does not stop working like ie 11. I do not think you should have to go threw all hoops and loops to get this to work correctly. Microsoft should come up with something that works correctly all the time and you do not have to check add ins, disable other items or what not.

I may sound a little testy, because I am. I do not have this trouble with chrome or Google searching on the same websites that internet explorer stops working on.

I have Linx Mint on another Laptop, and it gives me no trouble what so ever and I soon may put this one on it too.

No issues here with IE 11 on Windows 8.1. Works fine on my 2 laptops and 2 desktops. I'm sorry your having issues but its not something that everybody is experiencing. Is it the Desktop version or Metro Version or both that are crashing?

It makes no difference desktop or metro. I have disabled add ons. Disabled tool bars, it makes no difference what I do. I did not have this trouble until the last batches of updates came through. i have done a system restore to a point before the last update, and that did not make any difference.

If you go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, there is a Reset option, two actually "Reset advanced options" and a full Reset. Have you tried either of those options?

Yes I have tried that too.

Might be time to run the system file checker sfc /scannow. Or maybe even do a Refresh or Reset, after backing up your data.
