I have installed Windows Developer Preview 32-bit 6.2.8102.0

I am having issues with the graphis driver.

  1. Resolution stuck at 1024x768
  2. Laggy graphics.
  3. Installed it properly
I don't know why I can't install the drivers for it. I get the Code 35 error in device manager saying there's a firmware or bios problem something something configure something.

Anyhow, I have the lates bios and the problem still exists. I am unsure what to do, any ideas?

I have the same problem as you. I've got a warning symbol beside Intel HD graphics..WDDM 1.1 and when I hit properties the status is:
"Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)"

I'm also using my laptop's latest bios so I'm not too sure what's going on here!

Neither of you have filled out your system spec's....Those need to be filled out before anyone can help you.....Also specify if you are using a laptop or desktop....

As Ivan has written, filling out your system specs would be really helpful. In the meantime I would suggest installing the latest chipset drivers, you most likely have to do this in compatibility mode by right clicking on the installer. Select Troubleshoot Compatibility, Troubleshoot program. Put a tick in the top box and click on next, then select Windows 7, then next again and finally click on Start the program.

Samsung R530
Intel Core i3 330M
4GB Ram
500GB HDD

I have the latest chipset drivers installed as suggested. It just has a yellow icon next to it in Device manager stating
"Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)"

Just like chatty. I have no idea what the cause is, It seems to be saying my adaptor is the standard Microsoft basic one in Dxdiag.exe it's making no sense ;/

Thanks for replying ;]

Personally I wouldn't have used such a new machine to test a pre-beta OS.....Outside of here there is and will not be any support for this pre-version of this OS....Also this version goes away in March....When I get back from work I will research this problem more(if someone else hasn't solved it by then) Most of what comes up is those ripoff driver sites....

Have you tried to install the drivers in Windows7 compatibility mode?

The first time I didn't, it wasn't correctly installed. But the second time and every time I did after that since it too longer to install so I assumed it was working.

I'm having a problem with another laptop. ATI mobility catalyst keeps hanging on Windows 8. I have no way of installing the propper drivers since there is the yellow sign problem again.

Ati Mobility Radeon 4250 shows up fine but 5470 comes up with yellow icon saying "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

Drivers would not fix this issue. The EFI is messed up. I do dual boot with Mac OS X Lion on my setup and I know all to well about moding the EFI file to make things work right. I think that with older computers I will be doing this alot to get things working.

These threads might help with the Intel problem...check the last few posts http://www.eightforums.com/hardware-drivers/2519-intel-hd-graphics-2000-3000-a.html Now Intel 915m chipset does not work under Windows8 http://www.eightforums.com/hardware-drivers/2946-intel-915gm-mobile-drivers-do-not-work-period.html A possible workaround http://www.eightforums.com/hardware-drivers/2266-video-driver-install-problems.html

If the EFI is messed up, I can't help with that as I have no systems with EFI yet.....

Might want to get the first laptop sorted out before bringing up another one.....

When you install beta/pre-beta software you get to experiment a lot....

I recall hearing that only the latest Catalyst drivers work; download from Guru3D.com

I installed the Ati mobility 11.10 drivers and recieved a black screen for over half an hour. I force shutdown my laptop and i don't think it's installed properly ;/ The ATI Mobility HD 5470 has now dissapeared leaving me with just the ATI Mobility 4250. I believe the laptop is supposed to have switchable graphics technology. With Catalyst refusing to install, It's not working ;/

You may also want to look here; Support for NP-R530 SAMSUNG
I am guessing as to the actual model number as R530 is not enough.
I have looked for details about the BIOS but have found nothing Can you confirm if it has an efi BIOS?

What's an EFI bios? Why's it any different from the 'bios'?

If you don't know then I doubt you have one, so we can probably ignore the post from Beta and yes it is different, see attached link
