Solved Intel HD Graphics 2000/3000

Can I get your hardware IDs for your Intel HD 3000? I'll attempt to build another driver with your hardware ID's and hopefully it will fix the problem.

Would you happen to tell me where? I believe it's in the properties of the driver in the details tab but im not sure what you want exactly. Also you want my win7 or the win8 version

Device manager > Graphics card > Right click then properties > Details Tab > Hardware Ids.

Give me both. Maybe the windows 8 version is missing some details that windows 7 has.

Yeah that what my drivers ids are but like I said the laptop screen shuts off after login but it's what everyone else who has the same graphics has this issue. I've installed three different drivers and the one from Intel is the only one that works except for the screen.

Installed the following:

Two from here:

Latest desktop and mobile

(these two just say it won't load the drivers)
then just the beta drivers from intel

So I am now using my latptop with the Microsoft Basic display adapter, which actually works, but the res is low and it brought my index rating from 5.3 to 3....so would really like to get this fixed thanks! Does anyone have new ideas or methods they got to work? I may just be doing all of this wrong

AWESOME! ANgry Birds Space no more complains about missing OpenGL. Installation went flawlessly. Thank YOU!

Hmmmmmm. :D My experimentation has given me an idea. Thank you for your feedback. I'm now going to try something impossible.

Upgraded to release preview and still no opengl love out of the box for 3150 (or public betadriver). Luckily this driver did its magic also on Win8RP.

Again same with Win8 Pro RTM, but confirming that this driver will enable OpenGL (Angry Birds, even Pinball FX2 works somewhat, didnt earlier). I'm starting to believe that Intel is with no love for us with older chipsets and Win8.

XDleader555, I found newer version of this driver Intel Drivers Downloads. It complains about minimum requirements, is there possibility for you to do your magic for that installer also.

The driver I found on the page is for an Intel Chipset Device. Such as an smbus controller or usb controller. It is also only 2.8 mb while other drivers are about 70mb.

Maybe it's a way to make people not pirate the final version before it's released D:
Nahh, jk. They probably just don't feel like it's a high priority yet.

Install the Intel drivers. Turn on your laptop. Then put it to sleep with the sleep button. (Usually fn+function key) then when you are sure its in sleep mode, close the lid and then open the lid and press the power button to wake. Repeat until you are satisfied that Intel sucks at customer support. :D (but actually try it. It might work.)

I actually have no clue why the drivers don't work. I've looked at other graphics drivers for different laptops on windows 8, and I can't find much that is different.

Seriously? OMG, I bought this damn laptop earlier in the year with the express aim of producing Windows 8 Metro applications. Unable to run using the laptop's screen -- and on the desktop having no joy with VMs (BSODs everywhere) the laptop was my development and testing avenue.... so far, zilch as I'm not willing to develop when tethered to my desktop (where I write other types of software).
