I'm not sure...
If it has the Yellow Icon you didn't use the Custom Certificate Installer. That automatically enables testing mode for you and installs the GfxTest.com Certificate to the Trusted Store.

If you are running a laptop, try my other thread.

And I'm uploading a mirror to mediafire right now.

There is no yellow icon, and I just tried the other thread with the mobile ones? It ran through but I see no difference. I have two graphics family drivers however?

The Mobile Drivers are different then these ones... o-o
You only have to try them if you are having trouble with the ones in this thread.
Try uninstalling and try not installing through safe mode.
If you have an external screen hook that up and try to install through that.

I havnt been installing in safemode, and I have been using an external this entire time =P. I now tried running the mobile ones and it comes up with "the driver is not validaed and stuff like that. I have installed the certificate installer. I have tried every driver on here, and the other thread, some running all the way through and others not but none fixing the issue.

Firstly install this: Driver

Then install your descret videocard driver (Nvidia or ATI). Download driver for them from dell sile.

both drivers were installed correctly, but problem is still the same - only external monitor works. I only have Intel HD graphic card in my laptop (without nVidia Optimus).

Same problem here: http://www.eightforums.com/installation-setup/4034-windows-8-dell-n5110-black-screen.html

I have 100% same problem on VOSTRO 3350, Intel HD 3000, no NVidia card also.
Have you managed to fix it?

Same problem,
Still no fix?

I too have a Vostro 3550

I have Dell Inspiron N5110.
And i've done all like this:

1. Install Win8
2. Go to Programms -> Enable Net framework 2.0 and 3.0
3. Go to Updates Centre. Make 3rd option in settings (Download and make choose what to install)
4. Dont UPDATE NVIDIA and Intel Graphics Drivers from Update Center
5. Install this Driver
6. Download Nvidia drivers from Dell and install
7. Reboot the pc.

I followed this with my Vostro 3550 and the same problem is reoccuring.

Nvm, I figured it out myself. (Go to bottom of post for modified setup downloads.)

How It was done:
Part 1
Downloaded the latest drivers. Extract the files to a folder. Go to C:\Users\Username\Downloads\Win7Vista_64_152250\Graphics and open up "igdlh64.inf"

Found this section
Code:
;
; Driver information
;

[Manufacturer]
%Intel% = IntelGfx, NTamd64[U][B].5.1, NTamd64.6.0, NTamd64.6.2 [/B][/U]

[U][B][IntelGfx.NTamd64.5.1]
; no install on XP

[IntelGfx.NTamd64.6.2]
; no install on Win8
[/B][/U]

[IntelGfx.NTamd64[U][B].6.0[/B][/U]]
%iILKGM0% = iILKM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046
%iILKG0% = iILKD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042
%iSNBGM1% = iSNBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0106
%iSNBGD1% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0102
%iSNBGM2% = iSNBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116
%iSNBGD2% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0112
%iSNBGM2P% = iSNBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0126
%iSNBGD2P% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0122
%iSNBGD3% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_010A
and I deleted everything until "NTamd64"
Code:
;
;
; Driver information
;

[Manufacturer]
%Intel%   = Intel.Mfg, NTamd64

[Intel.Mfg.NTamd64]
%iILKGM0% = iILKM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046
%iILKG0% = iILKD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042
%iSNBGM1% = iSNBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0106
%iSNBGD1% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0102
%iSNBGM2% = iSNBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116
%iSNBGD2% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0112
%iSNBGM2P% = iSNBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0126
%iSNBGD2P% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0122
%iSNBGD3% = iSNBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_010A

Then go back to the installation folder and run setup.exe

Part 2

After the setup go to windows update and change the settings to:
"Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them"
Reboot with the modified .inf installed and check for updates. Then right click the Intel update and select "Hide Update"

Hope this helps ppl who have windows 8 and want acceleration :D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~EDIT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are reeeeaally lazy you can download the modified setup here.
Make sure to follow Part 2 or your driver will be deleted.
UNSIGNED drivers will not work in Windows Consumer Preview.
It says that the 8.15.10.2598 Driver is a higher version. Ignore If you want.
Also, I lag in MineCraft with
8.15.10.2622. Stay on 8.15.10.2598 for speed.
~~~~~~ SIGNED Drivers ~~~~~~
To install the signed drivers run the custom certificate installer I made
which is based off of barcher's Post.

All thanks go to barcher for his work around in Consumer Preview.
MediaFire Mirrors are nice and compressed for faster downloading :D

Ok I have a problem!! Every .zip file that I download from Mediafire has a problem extracting anything

the error.jpg

I have tried to download the files from Rapidshare (which is very very slow) and they alays come up with an error at the very end. I was wondering if you could either upload something new or send me a link of the 2509 through Skydrive?? OR if I should just use the obile extraction drivers??

Also I was wondering if all I had to do in this process was:

1. Download and upload the Custom Certificate Install
2. Go to the Device Manager and manually try to upgrade the "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" driver by manually picking the .inf file from your custom downloads
3. Restart the computer and the monitor should be working as it should then in 1366 x 768 with the accelerated graphics??

All you have to do is run the Custom certificate Installer and then run the setup. I tried to keep it as simple as possible. No manual driver installation needed.

It doesn't seem like Windows 8 likes my compressing. Try 7zip or another program which supports LZMA compression. It works fine when I decompress it with 7zip

Still NO FIX on VOSTRO 3350. I tried every possibility posted on this forum thread. I really appreciate help from this forum members, but still - no fix on Vostro 3350, i5-2410m, Intel HD 3000 for now.

In response to the people several pages back who could not run inf2cat, I am afraid that as it turns out that does not come with visual studio, you have to also download the Window Driver Kit from Windows Driver Kit (WDK) 8 Consumer Preview, honestly in total this all comes to like 3 or 4 gigs of stuff to download so just using the signed drivers uploaded by XDLeader

also I am not positive that inf2cat is added to the PATH variable so you may have to use the full path when you run it. It is typically located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.0\bin\x86 note that it is in the x86 folder even on 64bit computers

I apologize that it took so long for me to respond to this error

Hi, I have a similar problem with the graphic card driver, I`m running Windows 8 CP 64 bit on an external hard drive, and I cant install the Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver, I`m stuck with the Windows Basic one instead. And I cant change the resolution from anything but 1024x768.
I`ve tried all the methods you`ve provided but I don't seem to be able to install it. Which is really wired, since when I installed the Windows 8 CP on the internal hard drive, the same driver installed natively.
I just want to be able to change to the native resolution my lap top has, which is 1300x768.
Is there a way to do it?
Maybe force the resolution to change, or install the driver in a different way...

Tnx in advance :)

I tried all 3 downloads as you said and the screen was still blank. I had to revert back to Windows Default driver..

Is there anything that I could do or could I just install the mobile 4x drivers??

It's alright barchar, I made a custom Certificate installer with a pre made security catalog that is based off your instructions (Credit was given) so they don't have to go through all the trouble downloading this and that.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't see the last sentence. And Inf2cat and signtool is not added to the path, so you will have to add them manually or specify the path.
