Installing Windows Error 0x80070570

I recently bought a new SSD ( Crucial MX100 512 GB)


and I wanted to install windows on it, but for the past couple days I've encountered the same error over and over.

I've burned the ISO on a disk and USB, both of them coming up with the same error. I've even tried a different ISO (Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 8.1 Pro)


I have updated my bios and also unplugged and plugged back in my ram. I've practically tried everything that came up while googling this error.

It's possible that the SATA drivers aren't recognized during the Windows 7 or 8 extraction portion of setup (In your BIOS may also need to be set with AHCI). Usually Load SATA drivers before actual install begins. May need to look for updates to the drivers at manufacturer's site of motherboard.

Make sure did it correctly look at these, something could be corrupt with ISO you made

I'm sure I have it set to AHCI and for my SATA drivers, I believe they are updated. The links you posted aren't working.

Are you setup for UEFI instead of BIOS, GPT instead of MBR? If so make sure you create the flash drive to be UEFI/GOT bootable.

I'm sure I am.
I tried downloading the ISO from the links but it fails with Media Creation Tool and for the upgrading with windows key it keeps saying my connection failed.

When you boot will show AHCI on boot screen, should. Thought this might been issue you had with installing drivers first, but could be bad ISO created.

Try other methods, i am bit confused on that tutorial,says windows 8.1 update and windows 8, but my link just telling you how to make ISO or USB installation, although need product key to be able to do anything.

The ISO i dl are from /r/microsoftsoftwareswap I'm not sure if they are updated or bad iso. I've tried windows 8.1 and windows 7 and i always get the same error. Usually on windows 7 i get up to 20%, windows 8.1 i can't get pass 2%.
I'm gonna try to get a legit disc from a friend and see if the problem still occurs.

Googling it before came with same results i told you in Post #2, loading proper SATA Drivers at custom installation screen just before you install. Controller drivers usually loaded this way.

You didn't seem positive have the most recent drivers. Check with your PC models or motherboard manufacturer's site for any new updates, even chipset drivers. Still wasn't sure if using win8 or win7.

Again this was only one issue, other was making of an ISO or USB Flash properly.
