Installation stuck at Expanding windows files 98%

Hi
I'm trying to install win8 on my pc (hp pavillion g6) which its hdd is completely empty; but it gets stuck on expanding files at 98%
I'm installing it via dvd
please help

Is this a OEM manufacturer's PC with Pre-installed Windows 8?

Try using a different installation medium.

You can use the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to copy your Windows 8 DVD on a USB flash drive and boot and subsequently install from the flash drive.
