Installation "hangs", nothing happens, black screen

Dear friends,

I've got this big problem: when installing the windows 8, everything is fine until some point, ( everything goes as it should have, as on the other PC of mine). The setup "stops" after the configuring devices post. When it finishes configuring, the screen goes black, after which (in about 10 minutes) the PC restarts, then after Windows 8 logo everything goes black and stays that way for infinity. I left the PC on for night, nothing happens.

The 7 installs just fine, without any problems. Any suggestions?

Welcome to EightForums.

Windows 8 has incompatibility with older 64 bit Intel/AMD processors, & some Video/Graphic Cards.

yes, it does. btw, I hope it might help.when trying to load Win7 live (from a version of Hiren's boot CD) it stops during loading the image and says "blinitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000017". Had problems loading the PartedMagic linux distro, but after using HDDRegenerator (with 1 bad sector found and restored) it worked.

If you have any third party security installed, uninstall it and try.

brummyfan , I do clean install, I delete all partitions, but the one (the data partition), and start the installation.
No, you misunderstood me ( or I wasn't clear enough), I was asking about the programs like ESET, AVG, Comodo ....etc.
