My laptop is getting uncomfortably heavy to carry can anyone tell me how much lighter it would be if I where to say delete all but the operating system?

It won't lose weight because the hard drive always carries the full complement of bits that it can store. It either contains random bits or the organized bits that you store there. Same for RAM. Now if you could find a way to fill it with helium...

Yes it can and if you add a spent battery it get's even lighter.

PS. I intend this to be the last word on the antimatter.
