Increase The Font Size In Boxes

Hello, I thought that right clicking the Desktop -> Personalize -> Display -> Message Boxes & Font size would increase the font size for message boxes like the picture I attached... but apparently that's not it. Which option lets me increase the size of the font in the message box picture I attached?

I haven't tested this in Windows 8.1 yet, but using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below may work for this.

I would recommend to create a restore point first in case in causes undesirable side effects. This way you could do a quick system restore with the restore point to undo it.

Thanks for the reply, I tried changing both fonts to different fonts, yet the font stayed the same. Is there an option to change the font Size instead of only the font itself?

Hmh, okay, thanks for your replies Brink. I really appreciate your help. Maybe somebody else can see this post and has some other suggestions as well.

So I tried that method from Brink (OPTION TWO) from the post above again, and noticed that this applied to other things. Some other applications have their own boxes of information, and the font change applied to them. Does anyone else know if there's another registry setting that can adjust this? Or even some dll file that I can somehow edit?

Hey Brink. So I'm a bit confused about how Windows 8.1 is designed compared to previous versions of Windows.
Look at this picture: http://www.sevenforums.com/attachme...nts-change-classic_color_and_appearance-1.jpg (taken from the Windows 7 site). I am looking for something that is very similar to this. Is there a reason why Microsoft decided to get rid of this from this operating system?

Would you happen to know the registry key in Windows 7 for the 'Message Box' setting? I wanna try editing/adding it to the registry here and see if this setting is still implemented (just not really visible) here in Windows 8.1

It was removed since it's not compatible with the newer modern UI in Windows 8.1.

Darn. I actually narrowed down the location (maybe there's more) of where this information is stored in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
Maybe I can find what I'm looking for it here. Do you know of a program that can edit this information easily with some sort of preview?

You could back up those settings in Windows 7 and apply them in Windows 8.1.

I glanced on a quick-read that suggested a similar idea.. yet the only problem is that I don't have Windows 7 installed anywhere, ha. If you have Windows 7 installed anywhere, you don't mind changing the message box font to something bigger, saving the registry file, copy-pasting it here (or attach the reg file), and I can analyze and figure out which setting it could be?
