Im stuck in an infinite restart loop

Hi i installed Windows 8.1 on my laptop the installation completed fine with no errors but when i try to boot into windows it opens Grub and it restarts forever. I had ubuntu installed before on the same hard drive , when installing windows i formatted my hard drive ubuntu was gone but grub is still there and now im stuck in an infinite restart loop.

Most likely you have a problem because of remains of Grub in the boot sequence. You need to restore normal sequence: boot from recovery media (DVD or USB drive with your OS) and use the commands like bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot in the command prompt. Unfortunately I don't see whether such tutorial exists here, so this is an article on Neosmart:
