Hello everyone! New Windows 8.1 user here.

When i click on a audio file, it automatically opens it with Xbox music. In the past, i have checked open with, and listed windows media player, but somehow it eventually opens up my choices in Xbox music. I think it's a pain in the ass! I don't own a Xbox, nor ever plan on it. I'm not a gamer.
Yet,,in the uninstall feature of control panel, i see no options for uninstall XBox.

Do you have a opinion?( and..i will NEVER purchase music online, so don't mention the convenience of buying new music or movies online.

Thank you

I suppose you are using .MP3 files mostly, somewhere along the line somebody have changed default program for opening them. Find a music file of same type, right click it's properties and you'll be able to change default program to open them with.
