I recently sought advice from this Forum how to transfer a HDD containing two drives (Windows & programs on C: and user files on D: ) to a new SSD.

I enclose my 'Idiots Guide' to to help anyone unfamiliar with how to make a disk image and transfer it to a new SSD, including all the steps needed to avoid any problems.

I like it, especially since you use Macrium to create a backup image then restore it to the SSD. That give you a good backup in case something goes wrong during the copying or after running for a while off the SSD.
