I don't really back up to the cloud (I use external drives instead), but I have placed a lot of my day-to-day files in OneDrive. For the more sensitive, critical stuff (tax documents and the like) I still keep those on local storage.
The best strategy would then be to keep yet another backup off-site where it couldn't be damaged by flood or fire.
