I loaned my laptop to my sister for a couple days. I don't know if she went in and just randomly deleted parts of the registry or deliberately downloaded some kind of index of every virus ever or what, but it's been acting weird, and now I can't get into it.

When I got it back, I couldn't open anything though metro, I couldn't open any browser at all (even the exe wouldn't run) and typing google into a windows explorer address bar gave me an error saying it wasn't a recognised class.

Okay, weird...so I reboot. Enter bitlocker key, it boots. The screen is blue and it's... Gibberish. Total nonsense symbols and crap. I can't login. I can't shift restart. I don't have a disk. HALP!

I would love to. I tried to. uac thing came up, asked me to let it do its thing. I said yes, but it didn't do anything. This was before I restarted. Now I can't get in. I'm telling to unload pictures, but I'm on my phone (because the laptop is screwed) and the pic uploader isn't too keen on them. I'll get them on imgur or something and post them. In the meantime... Any other ideas?

Man, that would be awesome. Cause if that's what was going on, when I went to refresh, it would have done... Something. Now, I can't get in because it isn't accepting my password. I can log in to my Microsoft account, but not the laptop associated with it. I was able to figure of which line of gibberish was my wireless network and connect, but when I put in my password and hour rejected, it disconnected.
Bah, screw this. I'm starting over. Not worth it.

Truth is(in this case) I would too. It's things like this, is why I keep a copy of data files on ext. HDD. There are just times where a fresh install is faster than finding the problem and fixing it.(even though I love debugging and puzzles).
