I compressed the appdata files on accident.

So a few months back I was doing stuff and I accidentally compressed the appdata files on my WIndows 8 laptop. When I decompressed them, not all of the files were returned to their normal state. The "Local" and "Roaming" files are the ones affected, and within each of those, the "Microsoft" folder is smaller than it should be. My computer can't run certain things that need licensing (Skype, Sims, Minecraft, etc). I don't have any file restore points and I don't know what to do. Please advise.

If it was my computer, I would reinstall the operating system.

Try clearing the compress attribute on each folder individually, see if that helps out at all.
