Running Windows 8 on an HP Pavillion with an Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz. 64 bit operating system. (Hope all this info is relevant!)
Trying to uninstall my wireless driver so I can take a break from the internet, or at least use it in a more structured/boundaried way while I tackle some projects this year (i.e. can still use an ethernet cable for example if I want to connect).
So saved my wireless driver information and attempted to uninstall/delete my Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless N-2230 which initially worked - the wireless network symbol disappeared and was not available, and when I attempted to troubleshoot to make sure it worked, Windows could only suggest that I connect to an ethernet cable. Huzzah!
However, a couple of hours passed and it seems Windows 8 has reinstalled the driver and wireless networks appeared available for connection. What can I do to delete the driver until I choose to reinstall it when I like?
Thanks in advance for all the help!!! I really, really appreciate it!
