How to snap a pdf windows so it doesnt occupy whole screen

Hi guys, I searched and searched and found no results hence this thread.

I recently got windows 8 and was wondering how I can snap a PDF that I'm looking at so that it occupies roughly 50% of the screen. This is so that I can compare and take notes from two pdf documents at a time (where the other pdf would be snapped on the other part of the screen like on windows 7). Thus far the closest I have gotten is this:

i.e. around 20% of the screen.I tried dragging the green part but this causes it to occupy the whole 90% of the screen.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi knightmare, welcome to the forums, why don't you try using Windows Snap feature already in Windows 8.

EDIT:
You already using snap, I missed that part of your post

EDIT:
You can move the cursor to the edge(until it changes to double sided arrow) and can reduce the size of that window.

Hi Brummyfan, thanks for the response. Unfortunately, the snap feature becomes weird when you try doing it with PDFs. What you said works perfectly fine with microsoft office programs but not PDF's (see picture where you can see even the task bar shifting)

Windows Reader is a ''Metro'' program, and as such ,You can only snap it on one or on three quarters of screen.

For better work, it would be better to get a ''real'' pdf program.

Download Adobe's PDF reader. The reader included in Windows is a very basic reader without a lot of features. Get the adobe reader for full PDF support anyways.
