Hello.
How can I add a right click menu to an image file in order to be able to set it as a Lock Screen background.

P.s. Reg. file I guess?

Thanks

Hi there Haikgh,

no, it is not possible to add a feature to the rightclick menu to set a picture directly as lock screen background.

There is however a workaround! You can use the rightclick menu to set a picture as your dekstop background. And using a program like decor8 (Decor8 - Personalize the Windows® 8 Start screen with Decor8™!), you can change a setting so that the lockscreen is always the same as your desktop background.

Goodluck with it!

Appreciate your response very much Der Snoober.

Thanks for the tip, too. I wouldn't wanna have both pictures the same, though :)

Thanks

you can try out the lockscreen wallpaper apps in the windows store. apps like Chameleon.

Chameleon supports your own pics but also has support for Bing images, InterfaceLift, etc.

Thank you man. I'll try it out.
I am still hoping to get some kind of .reg file which would add a line in a right click menu of the image file to set a the picture to lockscreen directly :)

Not sure if anyone made that yet. But should be possible somehow I just don't know how.

Have a look at the Bing App: it can add the Bing background image to the Lock Screen.
Maybe Internet Explorer can do that as well... the Metro one? Don't know.
