How to Install os in GPT partition style hard disk ?

yesterday i tried to install 32 bit win8 in my friends laptop through bootable usb.it has win7 preloaded.i tried for the dual boot.but when i select the partition drive it said that windows cannot be intall in that drive because the selected drive is GPT partition style.plz help me.
plz tell me how to install win8 os in that GPT partition style hard drive.
my friend's laptop has Hard disk-500 gb,64 bit win7.
sry for the bad english.

With those few details, one cannot expect a detailed response; however, it appears you may have a UEFI installation and you are somehow trying to do a Legacy install from a USB stick. In its purest form, that has never worked for me. With that said, I will point you to a link that may be able to give you some more insight without the need for you to write a book (like I am doing right now).

I would say JustATest is correct about the UEFI install being involved.

Since Windows will not install a 32 bit version as UEFI, you might try changing to a 64 bit version and installing as UEFI.

As Saltgrass & JustATest have said, you need to install Windows 8 x64 for UEFI.

Boot the DVD in UEFI mode.
