I have windows 8.1 pro, and I recently enabled bitlocker without tpm.
To check that the bitlocker recovery key matches the identifier on the pc, I followed the instructions of Option three, step two
However, I get this message in cmd:
"ERROR: An attempt to access a required resource was denied.
Check that you have administrative rights on this computer"
My computer is a home computer, and I just logon normally without microsoft account just normal windows 8 (local?) logon.
I'm thinking I'm not logging on as an administrator? Yet if thats the case, how was I able to enable bitlocker in the first place?
Wondered how to check if I'm administrator?
