How to backup Drivers from Device Manager/Installed Dvr ??

Hello Everyone,

I've installed Microsoft Windows 8.1 Version 6.3.9600 Build 9600 on my HP 430 Notebook PC with 1 GB RAM and Pentium CPU @ 2GHz 2 Cores.

Display drivers are not working properly (i.e., everything appears bigger and unclear), earlier I'd successfully updated the display drivers and made it work using Device Manager. Can anyone help me making a backup of the drivers (may be in .inf format) from the installed drivers so that I don't have to update it every time I re-install it.

.Inf is just a file with the drivers. If you want real backup of drivers, use a program like this: Download Double Driver - MajorGeeks or Download Driver Magician Lite - MajorGeeks
They can be restored using that program or partially one by one or only specific ones.

Not quite what you are asking but my suggestion would be to make a system image of your newly installed installation, then you have a super quick way to clean install at any time.

That's quite different ballgame and a good idea for whole system/drive/partition but in case of drivers only it's like shooting a fly with a cannon.

Second the recommendation for Double Driver. I've used that to save off the current drivers and it's very easy to then restore from the saved drivers.

Well yes, I suppose so. Mind you the driver is no use on its own, it needs the OS to go with it... at some point.

Actually being able to extract drivers does look a useful tool to have in your armoury.

Yes, specially if one has to experiment with drivers, a System restore point just before switching drivers can get you out of the jam most of the times. Having a stash of ready drivers safely tucked away can make reinstalling windows a snap. I have been in all of those situations many times.

Yes, it does make sense, I can see that. Drivers can be a real pain sometimes, I know that only to well when first trying 8.1 on the old Acer laptop. Could I get a wireless driver to work... could I 'flippin heck, despite W8.1 showing it in the list of compatible hardware. I must have spent a couple of hours of trying all sorts but in the end stumbled on an old Vista one that did the trick.
