Solved How do I unlicense my Windows 8.1 with media center

I have 2 systems which dual boot Windows 8.1 with Media Center and Windows 7 Ultimate. I want to unlicense the media center licence on both 8.1 OS and then remove the licenses for my 8.1 Pro so I can use them again at a later date. All 4 licences are retail. I will then install a copy of 7 Pro to upgrade that to Windows 10 Pro dual booting with 7.

Define unlicense? You can't. Once you activate on a PC a hardware hash of the PC it was activated on is stored on the Microsoft Activation Server. There is no way to remove that record of activation from the activation server. You can wipe the current installs, and reinstall on new hardware latter. Then do a phone activation, if it fails online activation. Then when asked how many PC's this product code is in use on, you say one. Then you get a code to type in and activate with.
