We just got a copy of Win8 Enterprise from our Software Licensing department...we have an MLA or ALA (whatever it's called :) ) How do I know if this copy will expire or if we will need to update to the version that comes out at the end of October. Basically how do I tell what I have :)

Thanks,
Scott

You'll have 90 days to use it before it expires. There will be a little watermark on the lower left part of the Desktop that will tell you how long your license will last.

Hi there
run the command as shown and you will see one of these two screens (Hopefully not the second one!!!!).

cheers

I'm assuming as it's from your software department at your workplace, that's probably why.

I don't know if everyone gets the same message. I just downloaded the release preview version with the key from the Microsoft website, and I get the same message as you, "The Machine is Permanently Activated." Yet, I have a feeling that it will expire.

Cheers,
