I deleted the "Everyone" permission from every key and every folder using RegEdit, closed RegEdit, restarted my computer, and now my computer comes to just the black screen. I did not do that in explorer.exe. I only did that in RegEdit. How can I bring the "Everyone" permission back? Use RegEdit again?

I use Windows 8.1 (64-bit). Acer.

Without an OS partition backup that can be restored, probably your own recourse is a reinstall of your Windows. First, on another computer, create a usb or dvd Puppy Linux boot and use its file manager to copy your data folders and files onto external media.

hm, my post vanished? This is a tool I've been using for years, suddenly I can't mention it. Well, to make it more succinct, I use Registry PE to connect to the remote registry of the drive where my Windows is installed to repair any registry screw-ups. It has worked well for me for years. I don't know where to get it by itself, google it. But you can load your Windows registry, go into the Remote sections and add "everyone" back in to wherever you deleted it from, then close Registry PE and it will save. Then boot to your Windows drive again and see if it comes back up, I've done this many times with that tool.

I have no idea where to get Registry PE by itself, I have it on a tool I apparently can't mention anymore. But it works great, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to repair your registry with it, It's shareware.
