Hi all,
I'm trying to restore my Asus Taichi laptop back to factory default using the Recovery Partition after upgrading to Windows 8.1 . It booted into the recovery menu OK but could not find the image saying the required partition could not be found. All the partitions are there but the path to the Recovery Image is blank.
reagentc /info
Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) and system reset configuration
Information:
Windows RE status: Enabled
Windows RE location: \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition4\Recovery\WindowsRE
Boot Configuration Data (BCD) identifier: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
Recovery image location:
Recovery image index: 0
Custom image location:
Custom image index: 0
REAGENTC.EXE: Operation Successful.
Could someone tell me how to permanently set the location of the Recovery Image so it could locate it the next time I run it?
I have used the Reagentc /setosimage command to burn a copy of the image to USB stick but this is temporary. I have restored the laptop using the USB stick but the F9 recovery function is still not working.
Thanks
