I have searched for and updated the driver, but my keyboard (HP Pavilion X2, Win 8.1) still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Is this a followup to a different thread? If so provide a link to it please.

You have a laptop, has it been disassembled at any time? If yes, do it again and check that the cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard is plugged in and the retainer is fully seated.

Does an external USB keyboard work?

No, not a follow-up. Never been disassembled. Two months old . I don't have a USB to try.

If it's two months old it should still be under warranty so return it for repair or replacement.

Try plugging your keyboard into another computer. If it still doesn't work, it might be broken. The warranty for the keyboard is still valid, exchanging it for a new one with the manufacturer.
