Before installing windows 8 my hard drive had 79 gigs free after upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8 my hard drive space is now 69 gigs, its takes that much space or is my hard drive giving a false reading?.
If so any way to correct?.
Tks
Usually when you upgrade Windows, it will create a C:\Windows.old folder in the new upgraded Windows that contains a copy of the previous Windows installation. It could easily be that large in size. Check to see if you have a C:\Windows.old folder. If you do, then the tutorial below can help show you how to delete it to regain that space back.
