H 265 HEVC videos will not play correctly on Win 8.1

When attempting to play HEVC video on Win 8.1 with WMP, VLC 2.2.3, VLC 3.0, Potplayer, KMPlayer, 5K player, MPC experience skipping, app termination , tearing etc. Hardware is i7 3770, 16GB, SDD and EVA GTX 670. All players function well on any video other than HEVC.

Any suggestions?

It looks as if you certainly have the hardware and software to run x265 files. Do you have the same problem with other files of this type? You could try to analyze the file with MediaInfo or GSpot and see these apps recognize the audio and vid. Otherwise it's probably a corrupt vid file.
