Graphics Card settings lost on system boot.

Hi,
This problem has just started recently. I use my GeForce GT610 graphics card to adjust the Brightness and Contrast on my monitor. The monitor's controls are difficult to use. When I boot up the settings are lost. I have to go into the graphics card settings each time to reset Brightness and Contrast. I have been talking with NVIDIA, but we have not found a solution. It doesn't seem to be the card. It seems Win 8 is knocking it offline. Any ideas out there?

I have a GT 630, and just tried to duplicate the issue you are having, and I am not having that issue. The NVIDIA software retains its settings.

Does it do it on a system restart, Like a warm boot?

If it does it only during shutdown. You may want to turn off Fast Startup, if fast startup is enabled. There are known issues with fast startup.

Hi, Thanks for the response.
Yes this happens on warm and cold boots. It is intermittent. NVIDIA has been very helpful. After trying several possible fixes they have decided to replace the card. I hope this works.
Thanks

Good luck. Shocking its having that problem when there aren't other issues.

Cheers, hope it works for you.
