Get complete list of installed applications from disk

I had a Win 8 laptop that failed (display failed). I removed the hard drive, and have scrapped the rest of the PC. Now I have a new laptop running Win 10, and I want to install most of the software I had before. The task is therefore to get from the hard drive of the old machine a complete list of all the applications that I had installed, preferably with their version numbers, date installed etc., rather like if I use Programs and Features, but I can't do that (I don't think) because I'm not running Windows from the hard drive that I want to analyse. Is there a way to do this?

Preferably I would like the list in a file, which Programs and Features STILL won't do, as far as I know.
