Solved Generic desktop at startup

Hello.
Suddenly when I restart Windows (8) it goes to the generic desktop and if I click on esc it then goes to my user name and I have to click on it to go to my desktop. It used to go to my user name and log in automatically (without me having to click on it) until a few days ago.
Any ideas how I can fix this and what could have caused it?
Thanks!

No. You could use OPTION ONE in the tutorial you linked to instead. :)

The screen is gone, thanks, but I still have to click on my account because it says it is locked?

You're welcome Paul. :)

Yep, when you lock the PC, it requires you to sign back in to unlock it. If your account doesn't have a password, then just clicking on the user account picture on the sign in screen will unlock the PC instead.

Thanks, but it didn't do it before I upgraded. I never really "locked" it. Well, of course it is not a big effort to click ;), I was just wondering why. :)

When you slid the lock screen up it would have automatically unlocked the PC if your account didn't have a password.

Now that the lock screen has been disabled, you'll need to click on your account picture now instead of sliding the lock screen up.

Basically just a swap of what you have to do to unlock the PC. :)
