I am concerned over the increase in posts in this forum dealing with Windows Phone & Surface issues/features. Yes -- I know they are running Win 8 or some form of it but there are some reasonable differences between traditional desktop/laptop users and the more mobile crowd.

I think people (me for example), will become annoyed at scrolling past many entries related to systems that they are not interested in. This is a natural evolution of the schizoid design of win 8. It was designed to operate in both worlds but that doesn't mean both worlds need to have the same forum.

I suggest that a new forum be created for mobile win 8 rather than piddle off both types of users in this single forum.

Where are you seeing these? I'm not really noticing it and I've just had a look around and can only see the odd one or two, but nothing that I could see causing annoyance.

There are a few more but really the biggest increase is BSOD compared to a couple of years ago. More people using 8 guess. Never bothered me anyway, scrolling.

Should just do what Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 Forums did a while back. They rolled all the forum's under one name, Windows Forum and just added subcategories for each o.s, etc..

A sub-forum would be a good idea. Trust me, the amount of mobile/tablet forum topics will steadily increase. And with Win 9 purportedly supporting Modern only for 10" tablets and less, the divide will only become greater.

I'm sure that the powers that be here will make an appropriate decision. :)
