As does Windows 8 when using Classic Shell . I don't know about the weather app (or any Metro apps). I've eradicated them from my system.The difference is 8.1 boots you directly into the desktop when first setting up. Btw does the weather app still work in 8?

Classic Shell isn't there by default on a freshly installed Windows 8 PC. You add that after setting up. So by default when you first set up your PC it'll boot you into the Metro UI.As does Windows 8 when using Classic Shell . I don't know about the weather app (or any Metro apps). From what I knew, the Security Only updates for July, August and September 2021 have the Flash removal. So I am glad to see that October does not.
