flash drive tip?

This has probably been posted before.
New computers no longer have floppy drives so there are two drive letters that are available which are
seldom used by folks who have multiple hard drives or add in flash drives, A and B.
I have several removable HDs and my C drive which I use for just windows and programs with my B drive as my
work/data drive. A is my flash drive for moving files and work from home to my work computer.
note you just have to set them up as A or B in the drive manager (Change Drive letter).
I don't know if it was my system or not but at first it wouldn't save as A between boots until
I rebooted with the flash drive installed. but after that when I inserted the drive it comes up as
A: automatically.

I'll keep that in mind if I ever run out of letters. My MB actually has floppy controller but can be disabled altogether. USB boot options have "USB-FDD" setting for booting from USB memory sticks formatted to FAT or USB Floppy drives. Some MBs actually have a FDD controller without HW connector so it has to be disabled before this "trick" would work.
