How to See and Remove Saved Passwords for Sites in Firefox

The Firefox Password Manager securely stores the usernames and passwords you use to access websites and then automatically fills them in for you the next time you visit. You can easily manage the usernames and passwords that Firefox has saved for you.

This tutorial will show you how to see and remove saved passwords for all or specific sites that you used Remember Password for in Firefox.

Here's How:

1. Open Firefox, and do step 2 or 3 below for how you would like to open Options.

2. Click/tap on the orange Firefox button at the top left, select Options, click/tap on Options, and go to step 4 below. (see screenshot below)

3. Click/tap on the Tools menu (Alt+T), click/tap on Options, and go to step 4 below. (see screenshot below)

4. Click/tap on the Security icon, and click/tap on the Saved Passwords button under Passwords. (see screenshot below)

5. If you have set a master password and have not yet been prompted to enter it this session of Firefox, then you may need to enter it now and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)

6. Do step 7, 8, and/or 9 below for what you would like to do.

7. To See Passwords of Sites you Saved
A) Click/tap on Show Passwords. (see screenshot below step 6)​
B) If you have set a master password, then you will need to enter it now and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below step 5)​
C) You will now see the passwords for each site. (see screenshot below)​

D) You can click/tap on Hide Passwords to hide them again if you like. (see screenshot above)​
NOTE: When you close the "Saved Passwords" window, your passwords will also be automatically hidden.​

8. To Remove Username and Password for a Site you Saved
A) Select a site you want to remove, and click/tap on Remove. (see screenshot below step 6)​

9. To Remove All Usernames and Passwords for Sites you Saved
A) Click/tap on Remove All. (see screenshot below step 6)​
B) Click/tap on Yes to confirm. (see screenshot below)​

10. When finished, you can Close the "Saved Passwords" window. (see screenshot below step 6)
NOTE: When you close the "Saved Passwords" window, your passwords will also be automatically hidden if you did step 7 to show them.

11. Click/tap on OK to close Options if you like. (see screenshot below step 4)
