I tried to use the "File Backup" feature in Win8.
I connected an external 2TB HD & clicked to start the "File Backup".
I choose the "E" drive which was the external drive & a notice appeared on the screen "First File Backup".
No notice on time or slide to indicate progess, just the "ON, OFF" light on the ext drive.
Then nothing! I could see the "Record" light on the ext drive going on & off, so I assumed it was backing up.
I left it for about three hours, the light was stll going on & off. I then decided something was amiss, because I have very few files on the computer.
I clicked the "Stop" button & it stopped, no notice about anything.
I checked the external drive & there was a file on it named "File History" no file size listed.
I don't know what is in it & if it is complete or whatever. It gives me a choice to restore it, but I would never use it because I have no idea what is in it.
