Costa Rica played amazing football, enjoyed every minute of their matches, definitely the team of this year's world cup for me. Going to miss Neymar and James Rodrigues(Columbia), Good luck to Brasil, Argentina, Germany and Holland.

Hi there

Germany 7 Brazil 1 -- who would have thought it. This world cup just completely confuses everybody -- the pundits all said the Europeans would be out of it -- well a European team has made the final and another (Holland) has a realistic chance of joining them. Even if Holland lose their semi final tonight they will still get 3rd place after that awful display by Brazil last night -- I gave up at half time !!!.

Anyway I want Holland to win tonight -- I fancy a Holland Germany final -- will shut these pundits up once and for all saying European Football is totally dying in favour of S.America and Africa.

Argentina though do have Lionel Messi so it should be a better game than last nights German goal fest.

Wow! We started with a goal fest with poor Spain feeling the brunt of a Holland whipping.... now ending with even more of the same - unfortunate for Brazil!... but what a poor showing by them though - probably the worst defence I've seen so far...
Well done to the Germans What a Blitzkrieg in the first 25 mins!

I'm from Dutch decent so will be hoping for a Holland win... but it could get 'Messi'

That was a shock last night seeing Germany score all those goals so close together, for me I lose a bit of interest when the score goes like that, but I did watch all of it


Less than 2 hours to go till tonight's match, could we be heading for a European final?

Hopefully not to many deliberate dives from Robben

Hi there

Enjoyed it too -- Gary Lineker was right -- "Football is a game played for 90 mins -- always won by Germany". (Although it did go to extra time).

This German team looks as if nobody is going to be able to beat it for a LONG time.

Now I've got Withdrawl symptoms - I don't think English Premier League starts until mid Aug -- and Cricket -- well it seems you must have a lot of spare time if a Match takes nearly a week to play and you can STILL have a draw at the end. !! -- Good for mammoth Beer drinking sessions though I suppose.

I still remember a U.S friend who made a remark "Well you've played a TEST match - when does the REAL match start" !!! -- You can't really explain can you. !!!

Mind you the first time I was in England watching cricket on TV I wondered why it was called a test match too -- but Cricket like Baseball has itsr own unique history and anecdotes -- a good one from Geoffry Boycott -- keen cricketer and caustic Yorkshire commentator : -- "This team looks very good on paper -- pity they can't play on Grass" !! - Think that could have applied too to both ENGLAND and BRAZIL football teams too.
