This has been bothering me for months. I have tried everything including enablingit in power management, changing the hiberbootenabled registry value to 1 and enabled the "require use of fast startup" in group policy editor. I have also turned off and back on the hibernation.sys file using powercfg, and tried to do a hybrid shutdown from the command prompt. Even refreshing windows did not fix it.
Every time i shut my computer down with the power button or on the charms menu, in the event log I always see the boot up mode is 0x0 (i.e. it's always a cold boot).
I would appreciate any help in trying to fix this issue.
