Explorer.exe doesn't allow multiple program windows open

First,hi to all.I am a new member and i am facing a strange problem with windows explorer in windows 8 pro 64bit.
It doesn't allow me to have more than one program windows open in the same screen.For example,if i open a program's window at the screen,it doesn't allow any other program's window to appear simultaneously above the first one,in parallel.It doesn't show the second window above the opened one or withing its region,so if i want to open another window while having already one opened at the screen,i have to minimize the open one first,in order to open or make changes to the second.I suppose it must be something wrong with explorer.exe i run sfc /scannow and it was ok the folder settings are the default ones and i have also checked the hard disks and they are ok.I assume it must be the registry settings of eplorer.exe or something wrong in the registry,but how can i correct it?

Hi nikoscbr, welcome to the forums, you can right click and select "Open in new window".

Also, hold down the Ctrl key when you click on the Windows Explorer icon. It will open a new window.

Hello Nikoscbr, and welcome to Eight Forums.

If you mean with Store (Metro) apps, then they open and run full screen.

You could use App Multitasking or App Switcher to make switching between and using multiple apps easier.
