OK I just purchased W8 Pro OEM disc from a computer shop and installed it on my own personal computer. Do I come under the category of System Builder product - Personal user license?

YES that license is for the Hobbyist or home builder for his personal use.

Thank you very much Jim. That sets my mind at rest. :thumb: It's important to me, because I have loaded Win8 on my backup machine, but if everything tests out OK, intend to transfer it to my main machine in a month or so as my primary OS.

One final question. When the relevant EULA agreement is opened via the link you posted, it has boxes to fill in showing your name, email addresss, and a box to tick showing you accept the licence agreement.

In my situation where I purchased an unopened, brand new DVD of Win8 Pro OEM, at a retail computer shop, is it compulsory to fill those boxes in on the EULA agreement online to registger? I've already activated it online, and wasn't prompted to provide name & email address when installing. However, as per normal, pressed F8 key to accept the licence agreement.

I wouldn't worry about filling out anything on that site. When you activated, you should be fine.

I'm probably a bit of a doubting Thomas, but to be 100% sure, rang Microsoft Australia, and contrary to what they said before, after I gave them the link to the EULA for personal use license, they finally agreed it was correct. So thanks all, and especially to you Jim. Cheers M
