So my dad just purchased a brand new ASUS notebook model number K55N last week. He's been using it all these days without any issues, but just today he started seeing some weird behavior with it (mostly slowness) and a couple of errors, the most noticeable being when he boots up the laptop and tries to go to, example, Control Panel or System, it hangs/freezes and then after ~30secs to a minute, it prompts something like:

"The remote procedure failed"

Accompanied by a bunch of weird numbers/letters.

As stated in the forum, attached is the .zip taken from the SF Diagnostics tool.

Please help us! ):

I didn't notice any issues in the uploaded reports.
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

There are piles of errors in this installation prior to the last installation date (9/20).
If the computer is less than a week old, return/exchange it for a new one.
If not, then I'd say it was time to try a reinstallation of Windows from Recovery disks (and not using the Refresh/Reset function).
