Good day

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

Yesterday while trying to backup a 50GB folder, I received the following error:

ERROR (0x8007045D): This request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

I am trying to backup from my C: drive to any USB3 External. I have tried different USB ports and devices (Flash and 3TB External). I have been on multiple websites and tried the below - Still no luck

Safe Mode copy
Windows 8 check disk

I have no idea what else to do. I would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks in advance :)

are you using a windows backup or 3rd party software program or just copy /past ,,if doing copy past ,I would try doing the back in smaller amounts till you got it all

Just tried to break it up into smaller copy segments and still no luck. It is the same file every time.

same file every time ?

did you try moving that file, say to the desktop for now ,and then try again with the other files

Yes same file, but if I skip that file, then there are more files with the same type that cause the error. Seems like we are getting somewhere. I can CUT (move) the file, but not Copy it. I have run a repair on the game files as well as a check disk on the drive. The files are not showing corrupted. Any suggestions?

So the folder I'm trying to copy is my Battlefield 4 install directory. In the Data folder there are files that end with .sb - These files are movable (CUT), but I cannot copy them
