email displaying only over 2 year old messages from 2019

i use last pass to log in to my outlook account on my dell windows 8.1 pc. a couple weeks ago, my outlook account will only display emails as recent as 2019 (now in 2022). also there are chinese characters on my account page and on my home page when i use edge or bing to search and also on the msn home page (including over the msn logo). i have been using edge for some searches though i still am using firefox ( with noscript and ud) as my default search engine. i have run malwarebytes which detected no problems. i have enabled other noscript ms options, disabling ud, and tried logging in with edge to no avail. i need to access my new outlook emails and can't. not finding a solution with online searches...some say change the view but i can not locate a view option. i can still log on and open my account page but can't find anything helpful there. before i try to reset my computer to when outlook was working, can anyone help me? thanks

i deleted hundreds of old emails in case my size limit on my account was causing problems. then i selected the filter option and selected new emails on top ( always had this option selected previously) i got more recent emails on top but the date sent is missing the year...and the only emails there are from amazon only. i usually get new emails on my outlook account daily from multiple sources. i'll try to show a screenshot of that. any help would be much appreciated...i need to see new emails

btw, there WERE more recent emails than 2019 when i was deleting old emails, some from 2021.

i checked my sign in record on my outlook account and on 1/3/2022, it said there was an unsuccessful sync. it only showed 2 other successful sign ins, one 3 days ago and one recent (minutes ago) today, 1/25/2022 even though i logged in several other times, getting the current mess and accessed my account. baffling.
