Eliminate overbearing administrator permission requests?

If only if it were that simple. What happens if all the permission boxes are GREYED OUT?

I would *think* (as in guess here heh heh) that it would be rare or maybe even impossible UNLESS explicitly set for no access from within your account and for your account.

Either that or you are not currently running as part of the Administrator group with Administrator privileges.

Take Ownership can be run from the elevated command prompt or it is available as a .reg file to add it to the right click menu. The command is "takeown" without the quotes.

Are you aware of any examples or scenarios that it might also happen? Curious...

Simple. When I did a REFRESH of my Win8 CP machine, it created a windows.old folder. All the folders in that folder were denied write permissions by pretty much everyone. I moved my Steam folder over from the Programs(X86) (old) to Programs(X86) (new). Not only was not allowed to write to the folder, I was also denied permissions to modify the users AND ADMINISTRATION of that folder. Took a lot of fiddling creating a user and then giving it permission before I was finally able to run anything in the folder. The DISABLE INHERITANCE box was greyed out on both the windows.old folder and the Programs/Steam folder under ANY of the owners. I wish I had taken a snap of the security before I started playing with it.

I have the exact same problem everytime i want to copy a folder or a file ti asks me that window and select to continue. And i have UAC disabled....

Any help ? In windows 7 i disabled only UAC and never asked me for that permission...

On my PC there is no users, only me...

Where are you trying to paste or save the files to?

If it's in a system folder (ex: Program Files, Windows, etc...), then that is why since they are protected operating system files/folders.

Paste a folder from D to C, and asks me everytime to select continue. But i fixed the problem, reading this.

You can disable it completely by making the following change:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Change the value for EnableLUA

UAC Enabled = 1
UAC Disabled =0

For some reason seems the UAC was still enable in registry even if i disabled UAC in windows.

Disabling UAC using this method will break all Metro Store apps until enabled again, and the computer restarted.

Well that slider is down to the lowest level and as i said i still get that windows appearing each time i want to delete or copy paste a file/folder.

I don't have local policies, typed secpol.msc nothing found...

Any other method for not having this issue ?
