DVD does not AutoPlay

I tried to play The Walking Dead season 4 DVD in my DVD player but when I put the disc in there is no prompt asking me what to do with the disc. When I go to This PC, when I click on the DVD drive it just opens the files for the DVD. When I click 'manage' at the top and click AutoPlay, nothing happens at all. It does not show up in Media Player either.

What you have to do is set your default programs . Once you set them , it should autoplay on that player you have set .

Windows 8/8.1 don't have DVD play support "out of the box". It's best to use some third party SW like VLC which have own codecs or download separate codecs.
