dual boot

I tried to dualboot win7 64b with win8 64b but got could not find cd/dvd driver, but win8 32b loaded into a partition made on my hard drive, now if I load win8 64b while in win8 32b environment will it load on that partition and still give me dual boot? Any help would be appreciated

So you have installed W8 32bit and want to know if W8 64bit can be installed as dual boot? I cannot see why you can't if both are on seperate partitions.

no I have window7 64 dual boot with win8 32bit, because I cant load win8 64 bit, from either dvd or usb stick error is the same for both 'cant find cd/dvd driver' strange even on bootable usb stick, I was wanting to know if I could load win8 64b from win 8 32b environment, I have tryed and ofcource I get the error message cant run 64b program on this operating system. You have already answered your own question.

I find it weird how people are getting this Cd/DVD driver issues. I can't think of a reason why it would work for 32 bit and not 64 bit botting off CD/DVD unless it's a corrupt 64bit iso.

Back in the Win 7 RTM, and Public Beta days this would happen quite often. The problem for most people was to reburn the install disc at a slower speed. It seemed at the time folks would attempt to burn at the fastest speed thus having a coaster instead of an install disc.

When burning my copy of Win 8 64 I burned it at 4X install of 16X, and it worked the first time. So try another burn except at a slower speed. Hope this helps.

Good advice, Lee, thanks. I did the same thing.
One of the best Windows Seven forum posters, Greg, has mentioned this for years regarding burning OS boot DVDs.
